Commissioning & Maintenance Keeping your system running efficiently
As a company working mainly in the south west, we have noticed an increase in the number and different manufacturers of ASHP's, along with this we find many faults on sysytems due to lack of knowledge by third parties when installing.
One of the biggest faults we find when going to breakdowns is that the strainers are blocked, and this causes the system to have a flow fault. This is easily rectified and takes only a few minutes to complete, but is always included in our maintenance visits. Even a partially blocked strainer will have an impact on the systems performance and will increase running costs.
We are also finding that some systems are inadequately commissioned . Although we are finding that more plumbers are installing ASHP units, not many have been trained by manufacturers on how to correctly commission these systems.
Without the correct knowledge, the system will end up costing a lot more than is meant to, and you will not gain from the systems energy efficiency.
To be able to understand and work on these systems, our Engineers have F-GAS Qualification, and have done a vented/unvented cylinder course, along with Manufacturer specific courses.
Whether it’s a large VRV system in an office block or a small split system installed in a conservatory, AMS can offer comprehensive planned maintenance contracts regardless of whether your equipment was installed by us or not.
Our planned maintenance contracts are pre payment agreements that cover a twelve-month period. They entitle the client to between two and four maintenance visits per year
(Most manufacturers recommend a minimum of two visits per year). The number of visits generally depends on the environment in which the equipment is working or the specific agreement.
Our technicians carry out extensive, thorough maintenance procedures as recommended by all manufacturers as listed in our service documentation…..more link too maintenance report
These servicing procedures not only monitor the efficiency of all your systems components, they have a positive environmental contribution of detecting refrigerant leaks early, thereby limiting the amount of refrigerant released into the atmosphere.
Clients will be given notice of these visits to help to cause the minimum of inconvenience or disruption.
The benefits of planned preventative maintenance:-
Increased equipment life and reliability.
Increased energy efficiency.
Extended warranties on Daikin equipment.
Emergency call out service.
Preferential rates (less than non maintained clients).
Helping to fulfill your health and safety duty of care to your staff and customers
To adhere to environmental legislation, annual leak tests are required in accordance to regulation EC517/2014.
Peace of mind.
The pitfalls of not taking up a maintenance contract:-
Warranties on new equipment are only applicable if this equipment is regularly maintained in accordance to the manufacturers specific maintenance requirements by an approved maintenance contractor.
Refrigerant leaks will go undetected causing possible complete system failure.
In times of peak demand breakdown response times might increase (we prioritize clients who have taken up maintenance agreements).
